That's a Wrap!

As we wrap up the first Year of the ECF Induction for our 23/24 starters, we welcomed them to WeST HQ for their final session on high quality feedback and checking for understanding. Exploring how effective feedback to our students develops self-regulation, and in turn encourages self-efficacy = students working harder (and wanting to) than our teachers!

Once again, we are incredibly proud of our early career teachers’ commitment to developing their teaching expertise. The engagement has been superb and far above the national average across the Trust.

A big thank you to our mentors for their expert guidance, coaching and support throughout their first year. Roll on Year 2!

MFL HoDs spent a day collaborating on the Year 10 curriculum and unpicking the new GCSE specification and SAMS. Working in French, German, and Spanish teams to consider the nuances and requirements of each language to ensure a well-defined and knowledge-rich curriculum.
