Dear Colleagues,

Welcome back to the new 2025 calendar year and the Spring Term. I hope everyone enjoyed the festive period and had the opportunity to spend quality time with friends and family. As we return to the new term, we do so with a genuine sense of hope and optimism for the future.

In our various workstreams, we often encounter challenging news or situations, but as we start this new year, we have ample reasons to be optimistic. We are privileged to work with incredible colleagues across our Trust, and we are building on the strong successes of the last year. We can take a sense of professional satisfaction from knowing that the work we are doing is making a positive difference to the life chances of the young people in our care.

I want to again highlight some of our key 'Headline' targets for Summer 2025:

  • Phonics Screening Check (PSC): 92%
  • KS2 SAT’s RWM (average): 72%
  • KS4 Basics (9-5): 53%
  • A level average grade: B-

These targets are ambitious, but I am confident that with our continued collaboration and dedication, we can achieve them. Our commitment to high standards and continuous improvement remains unwavering, as evidenced by our collective progress and the positive outcomes we have achieved together.

As we embark on this new term, let us continue to support one another and maintain our focus on providing the best possible education for our children. Your hard work, resilience, and commitment are the driving forces behind our success.

Wishing you all a productive and fulfilling term ahead.

Best wishes,

Rob Haring

CEO
