I am delighted to present another edition of our 'Weekly Whistle', resonating with an abundance of positivity and achievements.

At the heart of our ethos lies the steadfast commitment to "Stronger together…Every Child in a Great School." This guiding principle, carefully chosen to transcend beyond mere inspection frameworks, finds tangible validation in the fact that all 4700 of our primary-aged children attend schools deemed 'Good' or better by Ofsted. It's a testament to our collective knowledge, skill and dedication to providing exceptional educational experiences.

Beyond the confines of the classroom, our students thrive in a plethora of enriching extracurricular activities. From Duke of Edinburgh to Ten Tors, from dramatic performances to musical concerts, our young learners embrace every opportunity for growth and exploration. A special mention is warranted for the ICC U18 rugby team, whose remarkable journey led them to the National Vase Final at Twickenham Stadium. Their display of skill, determination, and sportsmanship was exemplary, leaving a lasting impression of pride and admiration. Although the final result was not in their favour, they were gracious in defeat, and were able to ‘soak-up’ the experience – one which they will cherish for many years. Well done all.

In acknowledging success, it's essential not to overlook the invaluable contributions of our estates team this Friday morning. Our dedicated team convened to share their expertise, laying the foundation for the nurturing learning environments in which our staff and children flourish. Their tireless efforts often go unnoticed, but their impact resonates profoundly throughout our trust. To each member of the estates team, I extend heartfelt gratitude and best wishes as they embark on upcoming capital projects.

Best wishes,

Rob Haring
