Behaviour Management

Feedback from the staff survey identified behaviour management as an area that can be improved across the Trust, some feel there is no clear direction on how to resolve behaviour issues effectively. However, despite appearing as a theme to improve, there are also indications of the positive impact recent activities are having, for the first time, behaviour management also appeared on the list of things that are going well.

Behaviour lead forum meetings take place termly and Headteachers attend termly presentations. Alongside this, key training is available in areas such as restorative practices and behaviour recovery coaching; mentoring for Senior Leaders and coaching for Early Careers Teachers is also available. Alongside this we continue to develop behaviour management policies and provide targeted support.

If you would like any further guidance on what support may be available for you and your school, please contact: Roger Hutchinson on Lead Practitioner in Behaviour & Coaching, E: rohutchinson@westst.org.uk or M: 07719072224.
