Welcome to the final ‘Whistle’ of Term 5.

As mentioned in previous editions of the ‘Weekly Whistle’ we remain extremely busy with recruitment at all levels through WeST. This includes SLT positions, middle leadership posts, teaching roles and support staff roles.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to today’s very successful curriculum excellence conference in Plymouth. By this, I mean those who made all of the behind the scenes arrangements, those who crafted materials, and those who attended and participated in roundtable discussions.

A further reminder about WeST’s Primary ITT programme for next year – please do actively share this.

Ruth Woodhouse is about to reach out with further details about next years ECT cohorts (ECT & ECT+1), the need for properly designated mentor time, and the 2022-23 cohorts of NPQLTD and NPQLT.

Enjoy the half-term break.

Best wishes,

Rob Haring, CEO

Employee Self Service

This month you will be able to access Employee Self Service (ESS) to access your payslip.

You can access it through a weblink at https://ce0733li.webitrent.com/ce0733li_ess

If you have a work email account, this will be your username – your password has been set to your National Insurance Number in the first instance – the NINO is case sensitive.

If you don’t have a work email account, your username will be your W number (also known as your personal reference number); your password will be set to be your National Insurance Number - the NINO is case sensitive.

If you were paid in April, this information is on the paper payslip you had in April, a copy of which is available in the school or from your local administrator.

In both cases, you will be prompted to set a new password so that the system is secure to you.

For any new staff in month, you should contact your local administrator in the first instance who can get the W number from the system.

If have any issues, first point of contact should be your local HR administrator who may be able to support with further help being available from HR@westst.org.uk if necessary.
